Wil je er meer over weten of zullen we gewoon beginnen?”Sommige kinderen springen meteen mijn Magische Stoel in, anderen kijken liever even rond en drinken eerst wat.Kinderen die vragen hebben over hypnose vertel ik dat hypnose goed werkt, omdat het met je onbewuste werkt:“Je onbewuste is jouw grootste kracht die jou helpt en beschermt. Het is jouw automatische piloot. Soms is hij alleen iets te ijverig en enthousiast en doet hij dingen die eigenlijk niet meer nodig zijn. Bijvoorbeeld toen je een keer schrok van iets in het donker toen je nog klein was en het onbewuste je waarschuwde door bang te zijn. Dat is een hele goede reactie, maar een te ijverig onbewuste kan er voor zorgen dat je daarna bijna altijd bang bent in het donker, terwijl dat helemaal niet hoeft. Dat weet jij zelf ook heel goed, maar je onbewuste wil jou helpen en zet meteen de automatische piloot op “bang zijn” als het donker is. Zo kan het gebeuren dat mensen bang zijn van dingen, waar anderen geen last van hebben. Als jij last krijgt van zo’n automatische piloot reactie dan kan ik je helpen om dat te veranderen. Soms weet je zelf misschien niet precies hoe het komt dat jouw automatische piloot aan gaat, maar je automatische piloot weet het wel. Hij doet het.”Floor (9 jaar) luistert aandachtig naar mijn verhaal en zegt dan stralend: “dat is net als wanneer het etenstijd is en ik honger heb. Maar als ik dan in de keuken kom en ik zie dat mama risotto gemaakt heeft, dan heb ik ineens geen honger meer. Ik vind risotto echt heel vies. Dan zet mijn automatische piloot gewoon mijn honger uit!”
